Age Requirement

Due to legislation passed in September 2010, students will be admitted into a kindergarten program at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year or upon a move into the district if they will have their fifth birthday on or before September 1, 2023.

Immunizations Requirement

The child must have the immunizations required before entering the program. Please refer to the Immunizations Requirements link below to view immunization requirements for Transitional Kindergarten.

Exam Requirements

Children enrolling in kindergarten for the first time will also need to complete required dental and physical exams. Please refer to the Required Exams link below for more information.

Residency Verification

Must show proof of residency within the Chula Vista Elementary School District. Please refer to the Required Documents link below to view acceptable residency verification documentation.
